Some friends came to visit us on Sunday from Lancashire.
We took them to the free fun day at Norton Priory Museum and Gardens.
It was absolutely fantastic!
There is so much to see and do, I’m sure a lot of your readers don’t realise what a hidden gem they have in Runcorn.
The walled garden is bursting with flowers, plants, fresh herbs, fruit and vegetables. You can buy the fresh produce and enjoy it at home. The staff are so friendly, they even gave us recipes for the more unusual vegetables.
The history of the ancient priory is intriguing. Lots of fascinating items, found during archeological digs, are on display.
There is even a skeleton. Experts have discovered how he died from his bones and who he may have been.
