IN the past few weeks I have read in this paper about the mess left by dogs in the streets.
I live in Brookfield Avenue, just off Sea Lane, Runcorn. This is a beautiful and quiet estate, but it has one great problem, – dogs and the mess that they leave on the pavements.
I am sure it is not the dogs’ fault but it is the fault of their dirty owners.
I happened to speak to the Runcorn dog warden who was visiting the area.
He informed me that a dog relieves itself about two-and-a-half minutes after leaving its home.
The dog owner must live just a short distance from my house and if so, why do they not let their dog leave its calling card in their garden instead of mine?
I would like to point out that if the owner is caught they can be fined £60 on the spot, leading up to £1,000.
So someone owes me or the council about £300 for the cleaning up of the street.
I would also like to give you a bit of advice – instead of turning down my street, carry on.
