It really winds me up to see so many women failing to wash their hands after going to the toilet, particularly in our supermarkets.
They then leave a trail of germs behind them as they open the door, push their trolley around the aisles and no doubt select loose fruit and vegetables.
I understand from my husband that men are no better.
He has seen plenty who leave the urinals in town making no attempt whatsover to wash their hands.
Signs obviously don’t work. I suggest a loudspeaker message is activated as soon as toilet doors open saying: ‘Don't forget to wash your hands!’ like the tannoy at the top of escalators in supermarkets.
