CAN anyone out there tell me why I am washing out cans and recycling everything in sight, while the council I am paying to serve me is planning to bring motorway-volume traffic right through the centre of our town, dumping all that pollution on my home and my family, while I am acting responsibly?

Something is very wrong here.

While we’ve been quietly busy doing our bit for the national environment the behest of Halton Borough Council, Clr McDermott and others were busy giving permission, on our behalf, for strangers to come along and cut our town into pieces.

The plan is to aid the traffic quickly going up our Central Expressway, and Southern too, if they get their way.

Chopping pieces out of our central, making it prohibitive for us to use because of the volume of traffic involved and the alterations to discourage us, it would then directly feed the new bridge from the M56 (M6 too, of course). Motorway traffic would go through our town centre.
