IT was nice to see the Sea Cadets being acknowledged for their help in raising money for the Poppy Appeal.

Since last June the cadets have raised a total of £2,915.70 towards the grand amount of £20,092.20.

This year’s appeal is due to finish on May 28.

The amount raised by Runcorn for 2007/8 was £20,995.

A very big thank you should be sent to the people of Runcorn for giving so generously.
