My latest project has the working title of The New Towner’s it is in celebration of forty years of the New Town being built.
I am looking for old photographs and memories about the estates and communities when they were newly built, especially from when people first moved to Runcorn.
I hope to include as many local memories as possible in the book, including people from, Brookvale, Castlefields, Halton Brook, Halton Brow, Halton Lodge, Southgate, Hallwood Park, Palacefields and Windmill Hill.
I would also be interested to hear Old Towner’s memories of the New Town being built, or any information on the New Town.
I hope to hold some recording sessions at the community centres, Runcorn in the near future.
