RECENTLY I underwent a major operation at Warrington Hospital.
For anyone in this situation it is a traumatic experience.
At the start of this process with Mr Farooq and the breast care team, the diagnosis and subsequent procedures were explained with tremendous empathy and insight.
A special thanks to Mr Farooq’s team and the Macmillan breast care nurses.
The staff of ward C20 gave each other superb support; patients knew they were in professional and caring hands. Nothing was too much trouble for the nurses, student nurses and carers and I witnessed at first hand the genuine consideration for patients; and in particular those who found communication difficult.
The staff are highly trained and committed; patients’ needs are put first at all times, and their dignity is never compromised.
I was comforted by these fantastic nursing skills and wanted to express my thanks and appreciation for the wonderful treatment and care shown to me before, during and following my surgery.
