THE loss of the vascular department at Warrington Hospital is a blow to all. But some of us can remember it was Warrington that turned Halton Hospital practically into a cottage hospital by taking almost everything, from bed linen, beds to ward/theatre staff, plunging Halton – I was informed at the time – into the red and putting themselves into the black. So what goes around comes around and let’s hope they don’t lose any more departments. As my wife is still waiting for x-ray results (it has been three weeks) from Halton, maybe Warrington should start giving stuff back – we need it. Runcorn resident
