IN regard to the story headlined ‘highways and transport survey launched’ in last week’s World, the article suggests Halton residents who take part in a survey can ‘help shape’ the future planning of the borough’s highways and transport.
Really!
Latest figures suggest Halton’s population now stands at more than 126,500 people.
Will a questionnaire, randomly sent to only 3,300 Halton residents, really make any difference and seriously affect long needed change?
It is hoped that some of the questionnaires were sent to Halton residents who suffer on a daily basis from ‘school traffic and parking’ – delivering children to schools that don’t have adequate on-site car parking – which congests roads and avenues, turns them into school car parks and compromises children’s safety.
