COUNCILLOR Rob Polhill and all the other Labour councillors throughout the country use reductions to care for the elderly as a cosh to beat the Tory government because they know it is emotive.
Other less worthy services remain untouched deliberately.
Councillors’ pay and expenses never take a hit do they?
When I was young councillors did the job for nothing as a service to the community.
Now we have families making a living out of it.
