I AM writing to thank the many readers we have supported over the last year for all the great work they have done to help reduce health inequalities locally.
Through our funding programmes we have been able to support some incredible community groups in Runcorn to take action together on issues that matter to them.
For five years People’s Health Trust has been supporting residents to make their communities better places to live.
More than £82 million has been raised so far, supporting more than 2,300 projects and helping more than 400,000 people.
The trust believes that giving communities greater control over what happens in their neighbourhood is key to creating new and stronger relationships, improving confidence and giving a greater sense of belonging.
Groups including Four Estates and Loose are doing amazing work on the ground, and we are proud to support groups like these.
We look forward to continuing to work in Runcorn in the new year.
