Remembering war heroes
I AM trying to trace the family of Amanda Bebbington.
She wrote a poem in 1917 for Thomas Mottershead VC.
I have a copy of the poem but I want permission from her family for it to be recited at the ceremony we have planned with Halton Council, Widnes Air Cadets, Ball O Ditton Royal British Legion and Widnes Royal Artillery Association at the laying of the paving stone in Victoria Park on Sunday, January 15, in honour of this brave man from the First World War and Widnes.
