IN response to R Collins’ letter on testing tolling equipment for the Mersey Gateway on the Bridgewater Expressway, the article clearly stated that no drivers will be charged and that it is solely a test of the ANPR cameras.
This person may also be interested to know that there is no such thing as road tax.
The tax referred to is called Vehicle Excise Duty and is a tax on emissions. It has had nothing to do with paying for roads in decades.
