I WAS diagnosed with lymphoma last year and I live in Widnes.
I was unsure about going to a support group – I was one of those people who thought ‘I don’t need a support group’.
After some thought I decided to give it a go, and I am glad I did.
I find out all the latest news on drug development and receive a magazine which is very interesting.
The Lymphoma Association support group organises day seminars where doctors and interesting speakers attend.
I have found out a lot more about my cancer.
The one I go to is at The Millennium Centre, Corporation Street, St Helens, at the bus depot.
The number 17 or 33 bus takes you right there.
It is held once a month, every second Tuesday, from 1pm to 2.30pm.
If you feel unsure about support groups, like I did, just give it a try.
They don’t mind if you bring someone with you.
