I AM fed up watching children run wild in supermarkets.

The noise they make is unbelievable, yet parents just stand by oblivious to their rantings.

In many cases their behaviour is actually dangerous as they could easily run into a trolley or display.

Worse still they could trip up an elderly or disabled shopper.

I’m all for talking and reasoning with children but sometimes a little slap on the legs or bottom is all that is needed.

I can imagine parents will be outraged at the thoughts of hitting their beloved little treasures.

Generations of children have survived a quick, short tap and gone on to be responsible parents.

I would be the first to condemn violence against a child but you need to show badly behaved kids how to conduct themselves in public.
