I AM writing about the report in the Runcorn and Widnes World on Wednesday, June 29.
I would like to point out that the fire safety errors were not the failure of Croftwood Care Home itself but the failure of the person who was responsible for the fire risk assessment, who was not a member of staff at the home.
My husband has been a resident at Croftwood since January 2015 and still is.
I was given a full inspection of the home before my husband was admitted and all fire regulations were of the highest standard and were in place at that time and earlier.
All the staff treat the residents with the utmost respect.
So much so that you would think they were looking after their parents or grandparents. They are so caring.
The manager of the home and her assistant do regular inspections of the building to make sure everything is as it should be.
My husband is very happy there, safe and secure.
There are plenty of activities and outings for the residents.
I am so pleased for him to be in such a lovely care home.
