I HAVE lived on Warrington Road in Widnes for five years and it has always been peaceful.
Now motorbikes, cars, vans and heavy goods vehicles are going at extreme speeds.
I have spoken to residents and they all agree that traffic calming measures or better speed cameras could stop these speeding motorists.
The section of Warrington Road where the problem is at its worst is from the Castle pub towards Widnes.
This is a straight long stretch of road where drivers seem to think they can put their foot down.
I want to bring this problem to everyone’s attention to warn of the dangers as someone could be killed or seriously injured.
I hope that some action will be taken soon to make this road safer and return it to the peace and calm we used to enjoy.
