I AGREE with the comment from David Allen in the World about parking on a pavement.
The very reason being safety to pedestrians and considering those with wheelchairs, prams, children and the elderly.
Then he spoils it by selfishly saying he doesn’t agree with parent and child parking spots.
Isn’t it safer for parents, child minders and grandparents to not have to struggle across a busy car park while managing a buggy and youngsters?
Not to mention easier access to trollies.
It’s not the fit young parents it’s the youngsters who give you the slip, oblivious to danger. I’ve been there.
Now as a disabled driver, I’m very grateful for my blue badge.
I don’t abuse it because it has become harder to qualify for one.
My husband recently had his renewal refused after an assessment because his health has improved after his heart surgery.
Too right.
Just be thankful you can walk more than 100 metres.
There is room in all car parks for both facilities.
Hope you see the point.
