WITH reference to story in last week’s World about green bin charges being introduced, may I suggest that Cllr Rob Polhill redeploys his team of bin-snoopers to the more useful task of emptying green bins.
Then there will be no need to monitor and punish the truly heinous crime of placing a bunch of much-appreciated but now dead flowers in a black bin.
Has it now become anti-social and irresponsible to buy a bunch of daffs for a dear friend because they don’t have a green bin to put them into when they die?
Or will the bin-snoopers know the difference between the daffs from Asda and those from my garden?
Have the incensed residents who threaten to drive in their cars to the tip to dispose of their waste considered that some people are not rich enough to own a car?
