IT was lovely to see so many young Widnes Vikings fans at the Tesco Extra store on Saturday having their pictures taken with the First Utility Super League trophy.
Players were on hand to chat to the children and seemed to really enjoy meeting their young fans.
I saw Rhys Hanbury and Patrick Ah Van going out of their way talking to young fans.
I imagine more people might have turned up if this event had been publicised better.
Our team plays such an important role in our community. Let’s continue to give them our support and hope it’s not long before they bring this trophy back to Widnes.
Well done lads, we are proud.
