I SEE that Ukip are tugging at the emotional heartstrings of those who were alive from 1939 and 1945.

I too had relatives who served in all areas of the conflict, but that in no way governs how I choose to vote now; nor should it.

Ukip want to retreat into a sunlight past where everything was easy, everyone knew their place and forelocks were tugged.

The Ukip leader is an ex-public schoolboy and was a city-based Stockbroker.

What the devil does he know of those of us who have to rely on the state pension, on wages still not keeping place with inflation, on zero hours contracts that wreck family life for those unfortunate enough to have to rely on them.

A vote for Ukip is a vote for isolation, they pander to the fear of the foreigner, the fear of the unknown.

We cannot look back, we cannot isolate ourselves, we must look to the future and sadly Ukip does not represent the future.
