I AM writing in response to the letter from the Murdishaw mum in the Runcorn and Widnes World on November 19 concerning the health of children in Halton.

I would just like to say that you are extremely judgemental.

What are you doing peering into other people’s trolleys when you are doing your shopping?

How nosey. And by the way, what is wrong with feeding children beans?

They are a healthy source of fibre, protein and carbohydrates.

You do not know the lives of others when you fleetingly pass them for a moment in the supermarket, giving you enough time to judge them on the contents of their trolley and little else.

Healthy eating and lifestyle are to do with education, lifelong attitudes to food and understanding.

It is not to do with food snobbery, judging and anonymous letters to the newspaper.

In your appeal to parents to make their children a stew, if you had published your name, maybe they could have contacted you for some cooking advice.

Instead of judging, why don’t you start a local cookery group? Give your free time to educate the parents you look down on so much?
