I WAS saddened to read in last week’s World of the mum and lorry driver who were killed in a collision on the M56 in Runcorn.
My heart goes out to their families.
It is heartbreaking to think they left their homes that morning not knowing they would never see their loved ones again.
There seems to have been a spate of fatal accidents in Runcorn and Widnes over the past few months. I would like to appeal to all drivers and motorcyclists to think carefully before you make any manoeuvres when you are out on the roads.
Take your time and leave plenty of space between yourself and the vehicle in front. Don’t leave it to the last minute and rush because that is often when we can make mistakes.
If we all took that little bit of extra care, we might be able to prevent injuries and fatalities happening to the people we love.
Mrs Richardson, Widnes
