LAST week I went to Asda Runcorn and bought two steak and kidney puddings.
When I got home my daughter noticed that it was due up in April 2014. I went to the store and told them this.
When I went to swap it, there were other steak and kidney puddings on the shelf that were due up in January 2014 and some that were due up in November 2013.
Although I could have been fairly ill if I had eaten the original pudding that I bought, the staff at Asda did not seem to care. I have also spoken to the manager of Asda but all I got for my inconvenience was two free puddings and a £2 voucher.

Editor’s note: We spoke to Asda about this incident and a store spokesman said: “We have stringent procedures in all our stores to make sure out of date products don’t hang around on the shelves. We apologise to the customer for this and have refreshed our daily checking process in our Runcorn store.”
