I FEEL I had to contact you to please publish a short statement from myself regarding the Widnes v Warrington game on Friday evening.
It was a very emotional night regarding the passing of Mrs Pat Price, a lifelong Widnes supporter and stalwart of rugby league.
May I take this opportunity on behalf of HCR 92.3fm and all the Widnes fans to thank all the Warrington supporters for paying their true respects on the night, they were brilliant.
On what is usually a hostile game the Wire fans did themselves proud, not only bringing the RIP Pat banner which was seen all over the world on Sky TV, but the applause and two-minute silence. They were a credit to themselves.
