Hep Cahill at the double for Widnes Vikings

Hep Cahill was the star of the show at Sunday's ‘Viking Stronghold Player of the Season' event.

The Vikings back-rower scooped both the ‘Player of the Season' and ‘Player's Player of the Season' accolades, much to the delight of the packed crowd in the Stobart Stadium's Marquee Suite.

After an outstanding debut season in the number 7 shirt, Rhys Hanbury was also a popular choice with the clubs Stronghold members, ranking in 2nd place in the ‘Player of the Season' nominations, whilst in 3rd place Patrick Ah Van was rewarded for his efforts in a Vikings shirt in 2012.

The ‘Young Player of the Season' award was presented to Danny Craven whose transition from part-time Co-operative Championship player to full-time Stobart Super League professional has been seamless.

And, away from the pitch, Ben Kavanagh picked up the ‘Foundation Community Award' in recognition of his continued hard work with the clubs Valhalla Foundation.
