WIDNES Vikings’ crack under 18s team have completed a clean sweep over their fiercest Super League rivals.
With victories over Warrington and Wigan already in the bag, Vikings edged out St Helens 27-26 in the latest Valvoline Academy phase two clash.
A drop goal from Danny Craven was the difference between the two sides, who had been level-pegging at 16-16 at half time.
Alex Brown scorched over for a hat-trick of tries, with Keiron Butterworth and Declan Hulme also touching down.
Craven kicked two conversions and Grant Gore also landed one.
