PAUL Cullen has fired a broadside at the minority of boo-boys who barracked his patched-up team again at the weekend.
The Vikings boss said the treatment was insulting on the players - and told the vocal critics to go and watch Warrington.
Cullen said: “When you lose so many players it has an effect. The players are working so hard to build team spirit and confidence and they need to be rewarded.
“We do seem to have a small minority of fans who are determined to undo the good work what we are doing.
“When Richard Varkulis scored that try in the first half, Chris Lunt, Tom Kelly and Dave Houghton were the first three players there, jumping all over him.
“That is the spirit we are trying to build, but unfortunately these same young players are then booed off and insulted.
“So if you are going to do that you may as well go and support Warrington!
“The players should have been given a standing ovation at the end not booed off – and I am not going to accept it.”
“When we have really had to dig deep they have been a massive help. We are the best supported club in the Championship – and 99 per cent of our supporters will follow this club through thick and thin regardless of there being a Warringtonian as head coach.”
