High life for Vikings

WITH heavy snow scuppering friendlies against Warrington and Blackpool, Vikings have lined up Saints as the visitors to the Stobart Stadium next Tuesday evening.

The teams will compete for the Karalius Cup, which was won by Saints last season.

With a blanket of white stuff covering training pitches, Vikings have taken to indoor training venues, spending two-and-a-half hours at Challenge 4 Change in Manchester on Saturday.

There they were put through a variety of challenges including leaps of faith and high wire walking. (Pictured, Anthony Thackeray gets secured for his walk.) Following that the squad trained at the Soccerdome in Wigan on Sunday.

The Karalius Cup game, which has been sponsored by World of Beds, will be the Vikings first run out in 2010.

Admission is £12 adults and £6 concessions with admittance by cash on the turnstiles.

Fans who had bought tickets for the World of Beds Cup game against Warrington can use those tickets for the Karalius Cup game or for the clash with Salford on January 24.
