WIDNES Vikings half-back Rangi Chase has been banned for two years by UK Anti-Doping after testing positive for cocaine.
In August, Widnes announced in a statement that Chase had been suspended from all training and playing activity after they had received notification from UK Anti-Doping and the Rugby Football League that Chase tested positively for cocaine in a drugs test, following a fixture against Wakefield Trinity.
UK Anti-Doping said Chase had tested positive for benzoyledcgonine - a metabolite of cocaine.
His ban will run until July 13, 2019.
