WIDNES Vikings have invited all registered Vikings players to take part in a bucket collection for Danny Jones' family prior to the Leeds Rhinos fixture on Sunday.
The response from players has been overwhelming.
All Vikings teams will be taking part in the bucket collection including non-playing first team players.
29-year-old Keighley Cougars player Danny died from a cardiac arrest caused by hereditary heart disease following a League 1 fixture at London Skolars last Sunday.
A Just Giving page set up by the RFL Benevolent Fund to raise funds for Danny’s wife Liz and their five-month-old twins Phoebe and Bobby has already received more than £80,000 in donations.
The funds raised at the Vikings fixture on Sunday will be added to the Just Giving fund.
The Club have asked all supporters to give generously to support Danny Jones' family.
