FOLLOWING a 'tough night at the office' at Salford last night the Vikings are hoping to turn the tide over Easter.

Despite running into a tough fixture list over the coming fortnight, Denis Betts will be looking for some great performances which will be enhanced by the return of some key players.

The good news looking ahead to Thursday's derby fixture at home against Warrington is that captain Kevin Brown has been training very well and could well be set to make an early return to Super League.

Brown is one, if not two weeks ahead of schedule to be back to full fitness having worked hard with the rehab team at the Club to ensure he is doing all he can to feature in the starting line up for the Vikings once again.

Danny Galea and Lloyd White could also make a comeback from injury in time to bolster the squad in back to back Easter fixtures.

Denis Betts commented: "Kevin is ahead of schedule from the hamstring strain he picked up against Huddersfield. Danny Galea has been given the all-clear from his head injury and concussion and Lloyd White is also looking really good so there is potential that all three players could be available for selection ahead of next week's fixture."

As luck would have it - as three Vikings look to make a return, two more were lost through injury last night. An already depleted Vikings squad was knocked further with injuries to Chris Clarkson and Paddy Flynn.

Betts added: "Chris could possibly have a dislocated thumb. We are not too sure about Paddy's injury at the moment but we think its some sort of hamstring injury or a bit of a strain in there."

Aside from the injury tally from last night and the second half performance which was not up to the Vikings standards, Betts was happy with elements of the game.

"There were lots of positives notes from last night's game. I thought our fight and determination in the first half were outstanding to get back to 16 - 8.

"The short turnaround and the energy we used in the first half meant we lacked in the second half against a side that's got some good home form and are all pretty healthy."

"The good news is that our captain will hopefully be back next week. Lloyd White should also be available which will give us a boost and Danny Galea could be back to feature in the back row for us which would be another big positive."
