Klay Thompson scored nine three-pointers as the Golden State Warriors staged a superb second-half recovery to defeat the Houston Rockets 115-86 and force a game seven in the Western Conference finals.

Thompson finished with a game-high 35 points in the crucial victory, which saw the Warriors fight back from a 17-point deficit early in the game.

The first half was largely dominated by Houston, who scored eight triples in the opening quarter, with James Harden recording 22 points, seven assists and five rebounds by the end of the second period.

He went on to finish the night with 32 points, nine assists and seven rebounds but it was not enough to overcome the Warriors’ late charge, with the defending champions outscoring the Rockets 64-25 in the second half.

Stephen Curry provided good support for Thompson,  adding 29 points including five three-pointers, while Kevin Durant poured in 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

The series, tied at 3-3, will now go the distance, with game seven held in Houston on Monday night.
