"Even Papiss Cisse, whose fee was £9m from Freiburg in January, has seen his value at least double after scoring 13 goals in his first 14 matches for the Tyneside club." Are you really serious?? 18MILLION??? I DONT THINK SO! Lets see how good he is next season. How many times do we see a striker score a few goals first season then flop from then on.. 18Million though---thats made me laugh!!

It's so quiet at Sunderland when the transfer window in England hasn't even opened yet? 18m for Cisse - IF he has a full season like the half season he just had then great - definitely worth it - but if next season turns out to be 25 games like the one he played against Sunderland and 13 games where he plays OK then not really 18million is he?

Interesting.
If Cisse was sold this summer, which is highly unlikely, then Newcastle would be well within their right to ask for in excess of £18m in today's market.
Fernando Torres, Darren Bent, Andy Carroll ... and Cisse's record in the Budesliga and at Newcastle in the last six months is up there if not better than those mentioned.
There is a chance that his valuation will drop next season, if he doesn't repeat his form, but he's worth that as I type this now.
As for Sunderland, I reckon there will be a few deals done this summer at the Stadium of Light. I just expected one or two - of the cheaper ones - to have been set up and confirmed already.

Plenty of clowns thinking Cisse isn't worth 18m.Not worth the same as Henderson or Downing? lol you lot are clueless. This ain't some goon who hasn't done it elsewhere,he's already applied himself in a top league and has shone in "the best league in the world".Top,top class finisher as he has proved. If I were owner of another club,I'd think naught of paying big for him.
