Bridge Timber F.C. 3 Reos F.C. 0 Bridge gained a valuable 3-0 win against a very good Reo's team. Ex Reos star Lee Parry had a great header just over the bar after Ricky Thompson delivered his free kick with accuracy. 15 minutes in Wes Farrington rifled in a venomous 25 yarder in which the keeper dived full stretch but couldnt get near it to give Timber the lead they deserved. Bridge played some neat football with Lewis Watson, Dave Sheakey, and Lee Parry instrumental in there play to give Bridge a deserved 1-0 lead at the break. Captain Lee Evans cleared the ball from under the bar early in the 2nd half and soon after Chris Thompson was called into action when Reo's created their best chance when Marc Radleigh was clean through on goal, his shot was gathered cleanly to keep it at 1-0. Timbers defence of Karl Jenkins,Peter Murphy,Robbie Davis and Lee Evans were all in superb form to keep Si Burton and Kevin Towey at bay and with 25 minutes to go, Alan Bond and Liam Sweeney were brought into the action and were soon 2-0 up after Lee Evans cleared the ball after a reos attack to Sweeney, who crossed to Ray Mcdonald who had tormented Reos all game his goalswards shot was followed home by Alan Bond who scrambled the ball over the line just beofre Reos could clear it.In the 80th minute Bridge made it 3-0 after Dave Sheakey put Bond through on goal, after taking the ball around the keeper and being fouled he managed to stay on his feet, he was forced wide but skillfully found the net to wrap it up for Bridge from a tight angle . Chris Thompson had to save well in injury time but over all Bridge were the better team and deserved their victory. Ricky Thompson was awarded the man of the match award

Tricorn do Bridge

Bridge Timber F.C. 0 Tricorn F.C. 2 Bridge and Tricorn kicked off with what was billed as the game of the round and Timbers debutant keeper Adam Beech was brought into action after 4 minutes, saving well from John McDonald from close range. bridge had a decent chance when Wes Farringtons neat layoff to Lee Parry put him in at goal, Parrys shot going wide with the uneven pitch causing problems.Connor Anderson had a decent shot in the 20th minute after Lewis Watson made the opportunity and David sheaky played a great ball through to Connor Anderson, his neat touch gave him space to cross to Lee Parry whose shot flashed wide. Anthony Woods had a good shot at goal for Tricorn but skipper Lee Evans got the decisive flick to send it out for a corner. Peter Murphy got forward from the left back spot, exchanging passes with Anderson before putting Farrington through, his shot was easily gathered by Trike keep John Barnes before a hotly disputed penalty claim was turned down by referee david Seddon after Connor Anderson was brought down by woods only for the ref to turn down Timbers claims. So level at the break and with both sides playing attacking football, chances were at both ends with Sheaky,farrington and Bond all having decent chances for Bridge, McDonald and Taylor for Tricorn also having good chances to break the deadlock before Timbers defence was breached on the hour when Mcdonald got clear, and smashed the ball into the corner for 1-0. Beech in the Timber goal did an amazing double save soon after to keep it 1-0 before Lee Parrys good movement and shot flashed wide of the post. Ex Timber player Connor Taylor then found the corner to make it 2-0 in the 72nd minute . Bridge tried in vain to get a goal back with Alan Bond coming close but with time running out and defending well, Tricorn held on for a 2-0 win. Lee Evans was Bridge Timbers man of the match.

Bridge Timber through after tough 0-0 draw

Halton Brook F.C. 0 Bridge Timber F.C. 0 Bridge win 6-5 on pens Bridge Timber edged out Halton Brook 6-5 on penalties with Chris Thompson saving the decisive spot kick to send Timber through.Halton Brook had a decent effort in the 8th minute but Thompson had it covered and confidently watched the ball go wide. Wes Farrington brought a good save out of the opposing keeper which he touched onto the cross bar and 2 minutes later Ricky Thompson had a good shot deflected out for a corner. Halton Brook then had a goal disallowed for off side in the 18th minute. Both teams cancelled each other out with both teams working hard to try and gain the upper hand and in the 65th minute, Karl Jenkins found Ricky Thompson in space down the right, he whipped in his cross and Liam Sweeney headed goalwards only to see it bounce back off the upright. Bridge introduced David Sheaky and Connor Anderson to try and break Brooks defence and Anderson nearly obliged only to be forced wide by the keeper and Liam Sweeney forced a brilliant save from the Halton Brook keeper late on to take the game to extra time. Chris Thompsons outstanding save in the 95th minute kept the score at 0-0 and both teams attacked on the break with Sweeney again bringing a great save before the ref blew for penalties. With the scores locked at 5 each after Liam Sweeney, Ricky Thompson,Connor Anderson, Wes Farrington and Karl Jenkins all scoring from the spot, David Sheakey stepped up for Timbers 6th and found the corner before Chris Thompson threw himself to his right and with an outstanding save put Bridge threw to the next round, Robbie Davis was given the man of the match award for Bridge Timber.

Bridge win again

Bridge started the match with arguably their strongest squad to date and had the majority of the early play, Lee parry and Ricky Thompson having good chances before Mersey Town hit Bridge on the break but Shaun Harringtons good save kept it 0-0 before Timber kept pressing and after good team play between Wes Farrington,Lewis Watson and Ricky Thompson the Mersey keeper was again in good form to prevent Bridge taking the lead. Robbie Davis then went off with an ankle injury, Jamie Cumpper came on to replace him and within 5 minutes, great play involving Watson and Parry sent Ricky Thmpson down the line, after ghosting past 3 defenders, his cross was laid off by Peter Murphy to David Sheaky who found the top corner with the outside of his foot to give Bridge the lead they deserved. Lee Parry had an outsatanding run in the 47th minute,chasing a lost cause and keeping the ball in, his cross bringing a good save and Wes Farrington and soon after Peter Murphy linked up well with Murphys shot being blocked. With Bridge having plenty of the ball, Lewis Watson had a good shot go just wide, Farrington had a shot saved and from the resulting corner after having the intial cross cleared, Watson crossed back into the danger area and Lee Parry controlled the ball, preditor Alan Bond nipped in and lashed the ball home from close range to make it 2-0. Bridge continued to press with sweeney and Ricky Thompson narrowly missing the target but Bridge deservedly got the 3 points . Man of the match for bridge was Ricky Thompson
