West Bank travelled for their penultimate league match missing several regulars but still with an exciting looking line up nonetheless.

At half time though the hopes of extending a four match winning streak looked in danger with Elland opening up a 12-4 half-time lead with scores from Jorge Fairbank and David Webb both converted by Taylor.

Lee Holland had crossed from 20 metres for the Bank following a Jones break on the half way line.

The second half, however, was all West Bank. Ryan Bates break from 45 metres out was backed up superbly by Rhys Ashall who finished off when Bates drew the fullback.

Man of the Match Jack White chipped in with a quick fire brace. White performed a one on one ball steal and ran the score in from 80 metres. His next score was equally spectacular with a long range interception.

Ashall then finished the scoring by touching down Jones’ delicate kick into the ingoal. Jones converted all four second half tries to finish the scoring. This coming Saturday see the last match of the league campaign with the rearranged home fixture against bottom of the table Heworth. Kick off is 2pm and admission to the game is £1 for adults and free for concessions.
