In the penultimate home fixture of the season the Bears fielded a strong looking side which went onto dominate but not completely overrun the game Wakefield outfit.

Greg Pichilingi got the scoreboard ticking over with a quickfire double in the first ten minutes and before the half hour was up Paul Curphey hammered his way over from close range. The Dragons free scoring Adrian Mulcahy stopped the rot and his conversion brought the score back to 12-6. West Bank’s Lancashire rep, Dave Jones, brought up a more realistic half time lead with a well taken effort converted by Tommy Arrowsmith.

Josh Simm, on his return from a stint at Western Australia’s, Rockingham Sharks, got the second half scoring underway; again converted by Arrowmith.

Jed Goddard returned serve for Eastmoor with the first of his double before Ryan Millington touched down following nice interplay with Jones and MoM Ryan Bates. Arrowsmith added the extras.

Jones touched down again before a delicate Millington chip to the corner was touched down by Pichilingi for his hat-trick score.
