England Netball is pleased to confirm that this September will see the return of International Netball to the Echo Arena Liverpool when England face Jamaica in the first of a three match series. Following a convincing 3-0series win in April against Barbados, England will head to the Echo Arena Liverpool looking to maintain their number 3 world ranking against a Jamaican side who currently reside 4th in the current IFNA standings.

England Head Coach, Anna Mayes, will look for her side to build upon the series victory against Barbados and step up to the challenge that the Jamaican squad will present. This visitors arrive in great form and high on confidence themselves, having just completed a 2-1 home series victory over South Africa. In recent years, there has been a healthy rivalry between the two teams, with vital matches at the Commonwealth Games 2010 in Delhi and the World Netball Championships 2011 in Singapore both going England’s way, securing bronze medals at both competitions for Mayes’ side in the process.

Jamaica, also known as the Sunshine Girls, will undoubtedly bring their characteristic Caribbean flair to the series, in what promises to be a highly competitive and passionate trio of matches. Don’t miss this great opportunity to experience the exhilarant action of live international netball!

Monday 24th September 2012, Echo Arena Liverpool - England v Jamaica. 7.30pm Please note the other two matches in the series will not take place at Echo Arena.
