At Oulton Park’s BRSCC Race Day at the weekend, Lee Morgan from Runcorn was racing his 1 litre Jedi Mk 6 single seater in the BRSCC Formula Jedi Championship races.
In the first race, Lee made a very good start from 5th on the grid and was able to quickly pass two other cars over the first two laps to gain 3rd place in the race. For the remaining 11 laps, the leaders were slowly pulling away from him so Lee settled down for a ‘safe’ race by aiming to finish and not risk going off the circuit and losing his 3rd place which is where he finished.
For race 2, Lee made a good start again from 5th position and by the end of the first lap had fought his way up to 3rd place, no mean feat in what was a very close fought race. On the last lap he tried to get up to 2nd place but couldn’t quite do it and finished third but only 0.09 seconds behind the 2nd place car.
