Rylands A 16 Widnes West Bank A 34

BEARS’ reserve team enjoyed a second outing and came up with a good win at high flying Rylands.

West Bank tore into their hosts and a long break from Liam Myler gave Paul Airey the opportunity to run in from 20 metres. Ste Mellor converted. Sharks levelled the score but Peter Wright stepped on the gas before releasing Myler who ran in from half way, with Mellor converting.

Rylands were first to score in the second stanza but Myler romped in for this second and then Swindley took advantage of some nice passing from Sean Gilmore and Jack Murphy to extend West Bank’s advantage.

Mellor converted and then scored himself following a 50 metre run from Jack Murphy.
