RUNCORN bobsleigh hope Allyn Condon moved into the Whistler Olympic Village in Canada this week in preparation for racing.
The 35-year-old brakeman in the Team GB four-man sled is believed to be the first from the town to represent his country in both winter and summer versions of the Olympic Games, having sprinted in the relay in Sydney in 2000.
Condon and his teammates John Jackson (driver), Henry Nwume and Daniel Money go into action on February 26/27.
The former Sale Harriers athlete said the team moved into Whistler this week after a morale-boosting week of training in Park City, USA.
