Local rivals Albion and Navvy will face each other in this year’s final of the Chairman Challenge Cup. In their semi-final against Navigation last Friday night Albion ran out 6-3 winners against very spirited opponents. Ironically the best individual performances came from the losers with Dave Booth finishing in 18 darts, which included a 142 finish and team mate Neil Sinders finished in 106. Joe McGeever proved to be the other winner for Navigation whilst for Albion there were wins from John Kilkenny, Phil Littler, Ron Fisher, Gary Johnson, Colin Rigby and Steve Worrall.

Navvy won the first two games against Roundhouse with wins from Neil Ward and Adie Heathcote, only to see John Glover finish in 14 darts to reduce Navvy’s lead to 20-1. However Andy Scott restored navvy’s two game advantage but wins from Mike O’Dwyer and Gary Roberts for Roundhouse levelled the scores to three games all.

Steve Roberts then restored Navvy’s lead only to see Harry Wright level the scores to four games all. It was then left to Navvy’s anchor man Ian Darlington to send his team into the final.
