RUNCORN Amateur Boxing Club for the summer months have formed partnership with Liverpool Housing Trust (LHT) to offer free sessions to the neighbours of Runcorn ABC.

Head coach Darren O’Sullivan commented on the scheme.

“We are delighted to work closely with LHT to offer this opportunity to the people of Murdishaw. We feel it is important to keep the kids off the streets, away from gangs and give them a save environment to learn in.

"These sessions are completely free and a great way to keep your kids entertained during the summer holidays.”

“We work closely with the community and have seen many people reach their goals, whether it be general fitness, weight loss, anger management or even looking to compete.

"The club serves many people from all different walks of life and is a valuable HUB within the community.

“We think it is great that LHT are keen to help us achieve our goals and welcome our connection with them. It is initiatives like this that help us maintain existence.

"We have continued support from Hallmark Security, in particular Ian Ross.

“Ian has sponsored us for the past year as we continue to build as a club. His generosity is very much appreciated. We are delighted to continue to work with Ian and Hallmark for the coming season.”

Runcorn ABC are keen to find new sponsorship deals as they are a non profit organisation and look to offset the cost of training against the cost of running.
