VIKINGS prop Manase Manuokafoa has been banned for two matches after being found guilty of dangerous contact on St Helens half back Matty Smith in the pre-season friendly.

The tackle left the England half back with what is believed to be a break in his leg, with the St Helens club yet to confirm the extent or estimated length of absence.

Manuokafoa was found guilty by a Rugby Football League independent operational rules tribunal.

It means the 31-year-old front rower will miss Widnes’ Super League opener against Huddersfield on Friday, February 10 and their round two fixture at Wigan a fortnight later.
