WIDNES Wild are back in action on Saturday away to Sheffield Senators.
Wild, without a game at the weekend, beat Senators 4-3 at home in their last home game but on iceSheffield's bigger ice pad a different game is in prospect and player coach Ollie Barron still has work to do.
Barron said: “I know the Sheffield squad well and know that they are a hard working team with some good players.
"I felt we dominated large parts of the play last time but, while heavily out-shooting the Senators, they were always a threat going forward.
"I was pleased with the fight we showed to take control of the game in the third period to take the vital two points.
"We are continuing to work hard in training, implementing systems I want the team to play going forward."
Wild's women drew 3-3 at home to Slough Phantoms on Sunday.
Leen de Decker netted twice and provided an assist to Sophie Sinclair-Reeks' strike too.
Reeks, Katie Hills and Abigail Hayes also played a part in goals.
Wild, who trailed 1-0 at the end of the first period, won the second stanza 2-1 but on a day when they had almost twice as many shots on goal they were unable to find a winning goal.
