WIDNES Vikings have handed talented back rower Macgraff Leuluai a two-year contract extension.

Leuluai, 26, signed a new deal that means he will remain at the Vikings for at least the next two seasons.

The Kiwi, brother to international star Thomas and son of former Hull star James, has played in the last 16 consecutive fixtures this season for the Vikings, scoring two tries and proving himself as regular in the squad.

Making a total of 119 appearances over the last five years after signing for the club back in 2011 when the club was in the Championship.

Leuluai said: "I am really pleased to have extended my deal, I feel I have developed further as a player over my time at Widnes and I look forward to moving on to big things with the Club under Denis."

Denis Betts Head Coach commented: “Macgraff is what this group is all about, hard working and honest.

“He often gives the team, and the spectators, a lift with his defensive efforts and I am really pleased to have secured his services for the next two seasons.”
