ENGLAND Academy coach Andy Kelly has selected three young Widnes Vikings players in his 19-man squad for the forthcoming game against France Under-18s at Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington on Friday May 27 (5.30pm).

They are Liam Walsh, Brad Walker and Danny Walker.

They will come together in a Warrington-based training camp from Wednesday May 25 to prepare for the International Test that will be played before the First Utility Super League fixture between Warrington Wolves and Leeds Rhinos.

Two points separated these teams last May when England Academy narrowly lost to France 30-28 at the Stade Albert Domec in Carcassonne.

England Academy coach Andy Kelly said: “Preparations for this game are going well. The boys have been working hard all year and relationships are developing.

“Obviously the game against them in France last year didn’t go our way, but we learnt a lot on that trip and we know what needs to be done to get the desired result.

“This is a big opportunity for this squad to play at a Super League stadium in front of a large crowd.”
