The Ladbrokes Challenge Cup quarter-final draw was conducted at Langtree Park after the sixth round tie between St Helens and Hull FC this evening (Sunday May 8).

Broadcast live on BBC Two, Linzi Prescott, wife of the late St Helens and Hull FC player Steve Prescott who fought a brave battle against cancer and played over 200 games for both clubs, drew the home balls.

The away balls were drawn by 1997 Lance Todd Trophy winner Tommy Martyn. Martyn featured in over 200 games for St Helens and was victorious on the three occasions in the Challenge Cup final with the Saints.

Huddersfield Giants knocked out holders Leeds Rhinos on Friday night and earned a home draw against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats. League leaders Warrington Wolves will welcome local rivals Widnes Vikings to the Halliwell Jones Stadium as they look to make the final for the first time since 2012.

Castleford Tigers will travel to Wigan in a repeat of the 2014 quarter-final where they beat the Warriors and went on to reach Wembley. Two of the in-form teams in First Utility Super League will come head-to-head as Hull FC take on 2007 finalists Catalans Dragons.

The 2016 Ladbrokes Challenge Cup quarter-final draw is a follows: Hull FC v Catalans Dragons, Wigan Warriors v Castleford Tigers, Warrington Wolves v Widnes Vikings, Huddersfield Giants v Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
