BLACKBURN beat Widnes in a low scoring game played in dreadful conditions.
Widnes did have some chances in the first half but had to settle for a Chris Atkin penalty to go in all square 3 – 3 at half time.
They did have a couple of opportunities in the second period but failed to add to their tally.
Blackburn, meanwhile added three more penalties to finally claim the spoils and end a two match losing run.
