TODAY the Widnes Vikings revealed their striking new away kit for the 2015 First Utility Super League season.

Venture photography delivered the launch for the 2015 away kit in style capturing images of the kit at their Liverpool studios.

Three players and a trio of young supporters had a fantastic afternoon in the studio. The Venture photographers have produced a range of fantastic images capturing the slick design of the Vikings 2015 away strip perfectly together with the enjoyment of everyone involved.

Danny Tickle, Willie Isa and Aaron Heremaia spent an afternoon in the new kit with Henry (14), Natalie (12) and Harvey Booth (3).

Their Dad Marcus Booth was thrilled that the children had an opportunity to be part of such a unique experience.

“The children were blown away by the whole thing. It’s been hard keeping the kit a secret given how excited they have all been since the shoot. Danny, Willie and Aaron were great to be around and lots of fun for the kids.”

“As soon as we saw the kit we all thought it looked amazing. 2015 is a big season for the Vikings to show that last season was definitely not a one off and to show the rest of Super League that we as a club are striving to improve year on year.

"The 2015 kits and the way they have been marketed are testament to the way this club is going about its business. On and off the field, huge steps are being taken to improve. The away kit looks great and the addition of pink makes it a very attractive kit for all fans.”

Marcus Booth, like so many Widnes fans, has been a longstanding supporter of the Club. “I have sponsored players at Widnes for some time now and we currently sponsor Hep Cahill.

"The players are always great to be around and always have time for the fans. Harvey now has a favourite in Danny Tickle and we are hoping to have Tickle on the back of his away shirt this season.

"Aaron is a great guy and had lots of time for the children. Willie was busy working on his mean face and Harvey has mastered that now too!

When asked about his favourite player, Harvey (3) insisted it is Danny Tickle and said he wants to kick a ball like him when he grows up after learning a few tricks during the photo shoot.

Willie Isa commented on his involvement in the Venture shoot. “The shoot was great fun with Aza, Ticks and the kids. The photographers made everything feel really natural.

"Most of the poses were easy and fun. The challenging bit for us was to maintain an intimidating look on our faces while wearing pink contact lenses for some of the shots. Our eyes kept watering! Luckily the lenses were a one-off!

"The slick black and pink jersey looks and feels great and we will be fired up to do a good job on the playing field wearing our away kit when the season starts.”

Brian O’Connor the Widnes Vikings Club Director behind the shirt launch added: “This is the second time we have worked in partnership with Venture Photography to produce images for our season shirt launch. Both studio sessions have produced outstanding results.

"I would like to personally thank Gemma and her team at the Liverpool Rodney Street studio for their hard work, innovation and imagination.

Our aim this year was to showcase the family values that our Club represents and they captured this perfectly in both studio shoots.”
